Founded in 1979, Brightwake is a UK manufacturer of globally distributed medical devices. The strength of Brightwake Ltd is driven through our no nonsense approach to product development and problem solving through our highly-skilled engineering department and portfolio of brands.
One of these brands, Advancis Surgical, was launched in 2012 to create a platform serving the operating room environment with a focus towards ground-breaking medical device technologies. Through Advancis Surgical, Hemosep was built. This revolutionary cell-salvage technology is designed to recover blood loss during cardiac and other surgical specialities, providing a concentration of all cell species for transfusion back to the patient. By returning all cell species, including platelets and red blood cells back to the patient, it reduces post-operative bleeding and therefore improves patient outcomes.
As a company we are proud of our ability to manufacture the majority of our products at our Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire premises, and Hemosep was no different having been conceptualised, designed and built in-house. This is important to us as we pledge to support our local community, from providing apprenticeships and jobs to local people, to supporting local charities. In order to maximise the amount of employment opportunities we offer, we keep as much as we can in house.

Tyler Bros Ltd are a 4th generation, family-owned engineering company based in Kirkby-in -Ashfield, specialising in precision engineering, who like us have a keen ambition to support their local community. Having had a good working relationship with them for several years, we were delighted to have been able to move the engineering of some of Hemosep’s key components to them recently.
We were keen to move the engineering over to Tyler Bros Ltd, both to enable us to benefit from their expertise and cutting edge technology, and to enable another of Hemoseps components to be engineered in Nottingham. Since we started this latest collaboration with Tyler Bros we have found their communication exceptional.
We are extremely pleased to be working with Tyler Bros, both due to their excellent customer service and due to the synergies between our two companies. We hope to continue the relationship into the future.
